Computing Curriculum Page
Technology plays such a huge role in our lives. Our aim at Kestrels’ Field is to enhance this knowledge of computing through the teaching and learning of specific computing skills.
The computing curriculum is separated into five areas of learning: programming, multimedia, technology in our lives, e-safety and data handling.
We also use the iPads to enhance our wider curriculum and they play a vital role in supporting speaking, listening, performing, researching and presenting.
With wider and more frequent use of digital platforms, e-safety is always on our minds. We teach the children to keep passwords safe, report anything unsafe to an adult and to be wary of who we speak to online. We also talk about keeping our identity safe.
The website https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/ is useful to support conversations with your children around e-safety.
